"Polish" Ukraine Facility – A Legal Foundation for Participation in Ukraine's Reconstruction

12-12-24

👉 A crucial step for Polish entrepreneurs to actively participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine is nearing completion. The Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF), a key EU initiative, will be supported by an amendment to the Act on Development Cooperation and Other Related Laws (Ustawa o zmianie ustawy o współpracy rozwojowej oraz niektórych innych ustaw). The act, currently in the legislative process, aims to create the legal framework for the II Pillar of Ukraine Facility in Poland, enabling Polish businesses to take part in rebuilding Ukraine’s infrastructure and modernization.

The UF is designed to help organize and fund reconstruction projects in Ukraine, providing opportunities for businesses to participate in infrastructure projects funded by the EU. However, without this law, Poland risks losing out on these important opportunities.

This is not a political issue, but rather a critical economic matter. The legal framework is necessary for ensuring Polish companies can compete in the rebuilding and modernization of Ukraine. We are awaiting the swift passage and implementation of this law, as delays could hinder Poland’s ability to fully participate in Ukraine's recovery efforts.

👁️‍🗨️ The bill is at the stage of open consultation. As part of the legislative process, it is being reviewed by the Council of Ministers (Project Number: UD151, 2023-...), with the status of "open" and currently under government review.
