
Following the momentum of the ReBuild Ukraine event, the EU-Ukraine Investment Conference in Warsaw has unveiled a pivotal step forward: a 💥 Call for Expression of Interest to attract private EU investments to support Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. 💥
👉 This initiative is a cornerstone of the €50 billion Ukraine Facility. Proposals from EU businesses, joint ventures, and EU-Ukrainian consortia can be submitted until March 1, 2025, offering opportunities to engage in critical sectors of Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts.
👉 A Vision for Recovery
The Ukraine Investment Framework, part of the Facility, connects submitted proposals with projects funded to foster Ukraine's economic recovery.
🔆 European Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi emphasized the need for public-private collaboration: “Ukraine’s reconstruction requires both public funding and partnerships with the private sector. By bringing these efforts together, we can maximize investment and support the country’s gradual integration into the EU Single Market.”
🔆 Yuliia Svyrydenko, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister, stressed the urgency of action: “War is not an embargo on investment; we must unite our efforts around Ukraine’s recovery now, without waiting for the war to end.”

With over 5,000 participants, including 300 SMEs, the Warsaw conference showcased matchmaking sessions and workshops to address war insurance, private equity opportunities, and Ukraine's EU accession as a business opportunity. This effort builds on the Ukraine Investment Framework, equipped with €9.3 billion in financial tools, aiming to mobilize €40 billion for recovery projects.

Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression, the EU and its Member States have delivered nearly €122 billion in aid to Ukraine. This includes €15.6 billion under the Ukraine Facility to sustain stability, recovery, and reforms necessary for EU integration. The Call signals hope and action, showing that with cooperation, Ukraine’s recovery is possible. The EU’s commitment to public-private collaboration is shaping a future of resilience and integration.
